How I became a lIfe coach
My interest in self improvement began at the age of 18 when I read Susan Jeffers' brilliant book "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway" At that point I was working in a call centre and not really sure exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
Over the next few years I devoured every self help book I could find and became a bit of a self help guru to my friends and colleagues, during this time I had also advanced up the career ladder and eventually found myself managing a sales centre with over 40 staff but I did not feel at all fulfilled and in fact dreaded going to work every day. My heart was just not in what I was doing.
At about this time I saw a TV show about a life coach and something just clicked , I knew that this was what I wanted to do. In December 2004 I obtained my Associated Stress Consultants Diploma in life coaching. Over the next year I built up my experience by coaching in my spare time whilst still working 50 hours per week in my full time job before eventually becoming full time self employed as a life coach.
